About this Site

This website aims to provide an insight into research in organic and medicinal chemistry from international research groups. I'd like to provide short but informative extracts on recent advances in total synthesis, catalysis, organocatalysis, medicinal chemistry and organic chemistry in general.

Two different books are currently available. The first book discusses total syntheses published in recent years. In recent years, C-H functionalisation has made huge advances through the research of, for example, Ryan Shenvi. Therefore, many recent total syntheses discuss terpene synthesis.

The second book discusses the synthetic routes of nucleoside analogs. It will also cover concepts in the synthesis of antiviral and anticancer drug candidates, pharmacokinetics and recent advances in nucleoside analogues.
