About the Author

Inspired by the fascinating world of natural products, their biosynthesisbiosynthesis, and their importancesignificant role in medicinal chemistry, I startedhave delved into the sphere of total synthesis to gain adeeper better insightinsights into the total synthesis of these unique molecules. 

AfterI completed my diploma thesis in the field ofon organocatalysis under the supervisionguidance of Prof. Rainer Mahrwald (at HU Berlin),Berlin. I worked on the total synthesis of complex polyketides duringDuring my PhDPhD, thesisconducted under the supervision of Prof. Dirk Menche (at the University of Bonn).Bonn, AfterI focused on the total synthesis of complex polyketides. To further broaden my research expertise, I embarked on a short research stay at TU DresdenDresden, working in the laboratory of Prof. Peter Metz,Metz. Following that, I workedhad asthe privilege of being a postdoctoral fellow at Hong Kong University, collaborating with Prof. Pauline Chiu at Hong Kong University.Chiu.

Since the end of 2021, I have been doingactively engaged in research in the field ofon antiviral nucleosides inwithin the group ofled by Prof. Billy Ng at CUHK. My research aims to contribute to the development of effective antiviral agents.
